"You're So Tiny" the quote I heard all through high school and still to this day. Many may think, "Girl, it is a compliment! Why be mad?"I never get mad, I just never know what to say back.

Why??

Feeling confident in your own skin...the struggle is real. I know that, everyone knows that. Looking into the mirror and not liking what you are seeing is hard. I was there a year ago this October. I was about to finish college. My face became fuller. Double chin turns into 4 chins. Muscle turns into flab. The flat stomach you worked so hard for is completely gone. So you stare at yourself because all of a sudden you're not so tiny anymore. So what did I do? I beat myself up. I hated my own reflection. I immediately start blaming myself for looking the way I did.

Have you been there before? If not, it's okay. If yes, we are on this struggle together.

Body types. Body styles. Body shapes. It's all complicated, especially since we may go through all of these feelings every day, every week, or every month.

My opinion...take it or leave it...

OWN IT- just think about it..if we all had the same body type, life would be boring. Everyone is different and we should start embracing that. I struggled with writing this post because I didn't want to offend anyone but it needs to be said.

It is okay to look the way you do. It is okay if your body has changed. Own it. Embrace it.

What did I do last October?

Self- Reflection. I took a step back and decided what I wanted to do. This can look different for everyone. What I chose to do is not what works for everyone but my motivation is for you to try it! Working out has never been on my radar, but I decided to try and to push myself. I went into it without wanting to lose weight, but to just start taking my physical health seriously. This was my best decision that I made. I had more energy. I was feeling better and slowly, but surely a little more confident.

The result: not so tiny, but a healthier, confident me. Being blessed with the height of 5'2, maybe to some I will always look tiny, but to me I'm finally healthy both mentally and physically.

Embrace who you are. Own what you look like. Push yourself to feel confident in your own skin for not only your physical health, but for your mental health too.

That's this weeks Monday Motivation.

Thanks for reading! I'll see ya next week.

It has been a HOT minute since my last post and I am very sorry! Life gets busy and I have not had time to sit down and write to motivate...
